Travel Photography – Radhika Pandit Photography
Travel photography for Radhika Pandit is a subcategory of photography involving the documentation of an area’s landscape, people, cultures, customs, and history, etc.Travel photography, unlike other genres like fashion, product, or food photography, is still an underestimated and relatively less monetized genre, though the challenges faced by travel photographers are lot greater than some of the genres where the light and other shooting conditions may be controllable. For me this genre of photography entails shooting a wide variety of subjects under varied available conditions, e.g. low light photography indoors, available ambient light photography for exteriors of buildings and monuments, shooting on the streets where sometimes conditions may be hostile, capturing moments which rarely recur, capturing the magic of light while shooting landscapes, etc.
I have been capturing places like Tibet,China,Mansarovar, Manali, Kolkata, Diu, Coorg – Winds of sourthern India, Udaipur – the city of lakes and others.Photography of all types is happening around us nowadays, which is something that we all are very used to and it is very difficult to see it in a different perspective. Hence I as a photographer with a belief to find a particular scene or combination of objects, its arrangement and the aesthetic decision in such ways that brings life to the piece of abstract. Hence I enjoys moving through a range of styles and disciplines, and experimenting.
